The analysis and management of quotes generated within a specific period were performed using searches and date filters in Dynamics 365 Sales. After analysis by the team and meetings with the company's sales team, it was concluded that the project would be excellent for obtaining these quote metrics.
Initially, we collected all the Excel files that had been developed and consolidated them into a single PowerApps application that provided the data. We then migrated the legacy data into the PowerApps database and began working on the data, as well as developing visual charts, with the goal of creating a management view for the procurement team.
The integration of Dynamics 365 Sales and Power BI provided a comprehensive and seamless solution for data analysis. This integration made it easy to directly extract quote data from Dynamics 365 and incorporate it into Power BI, enabling detailed, real-time analysis of the information.
After implementation, the sales team noticed a shortage in the procurement of essential materials for one of their production lines, along with an excess of less consumed materials. Consequently, they reallocated the budget to the most essential products, thus improving the utilization of their funds.
